From the BeamNG forums: "0.1 is a hoax. Stop spreading misinformation!!!! We have clear evidence. Yes. The story was made up and posted on Reddit. It was that a small leak had happened in may 2013 where the devs accidentally made it public. No record of this has ever been seen on the forums, or on youtube. I have found footage of the dev livestream from June 2013, and it had vastly different bugs. For example, the particles emitted with collision were clearly cube shaped. It would spread in obvious cube shaped patterns, no matter the situation. This was fixed in the public version. From august 3rd 2013. In the 0.1 version we see the same particle pattern from 0.3. There is also evidence of a stripped down t-series model, which at the time was 2.5 years from release. This makes no sense. Third piece of evidence is the fact that many files were created after may 2013. An early theory was that it would have to do with the fact that the OC had opened the wrong installer after buying 0.3 on launch, but this was quickly proven wrong, as installing 0.3 in 2023 does not change the date of the files. It appears that 0.1 was based off 0.3.x and had some parts from 0.7.4 or 0.3.8.1 which are available on the internet. That’s all the evidence I can remember. If this doesn’t change your view I don’t know what to say. Many RUclipsrs like sky fall and toast were fooled, and posted viral videos about it." -simsimw Take it for what you will. I know this was posted 9 months ago but, I will say, the devs for beamng are the most consistent and community driven devs there are out there. They are open to mods, hire people who create mods, etc. I’m a fan of all kinds of Motorsport so nothing upsets me.8 understand people being kinda upset with like only offroad focused updates for a rhe period but what people need to realize is this game recently hit its 10 year mark and we are only on version 0.32. By version 1.0 this game will be absolutely unreal, they add new stuff in every update that excites me and I’m excited for more
